Is it legal for a teacher talk to your employer and request to have you fired for poor classroom behavior?
So I'm currently a fire cadet which is a volunteer program for seniors who plan on entering the fire service. I applied and was accepted over the summer and have been in the program for 3 months. Now, this teacher is a bit of a nut, very weird.(I can go into detail but it shouldn't be necessary) He has been picking on me since school started and has called my parents numerous times over minuscule things like, talking out of turn and now my parents are fed up with him for always bothering them while they work. Anyways, he has a friend who's a captain in the same fire department that I'm a cadet in, he comes in every few weeks to show us little useful things. The other day the teacher told me that he had contacted the captain and requested that I not only be removed from the cadet program but also be considered an "Untrustworthy individual" to the department. To make a long story short he wants to have me fired and ruin my future career, for talking in his class. Is this legal? PS: The Cadet program requires me to maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, which I've met every single time. Thanks for all the advice, I'm going to talk to an administrator tomorrow and go from there, and this cadet program is run by the county, not the school, the school just knows about it and presents it to students interested but they don't have any control over it, the program is 100% volunteer by the way, about 20-24 hours a week.

Are you surprised that the Senate rejected the GOP amendment?
Senate Republicans failed Saturday to eliminate $42.1 billion in cuts to Medicare home health care service in the health care bill. The 53-41 vote shot down a motion offered by Sen. Mike Johanns, R-Nebraska, that would have sent Majority Leader Harry Reid's sweeping $848 billion reform plan back to committee with instructions to remove all home health care cuts. Johanns objected to the cuts, saying that the services "help some of the most vulnerable Americans." Democrats say the bill instills needed reforms to ensure the long-term solvency of the government-run Medicare health program for senior citizens. ********************** I thought the Republicans were accusing the Democrats of "killing old people" and here they are trying to eliminate $42.1 billion in cuts to Medicare home health care service in the health care bill.
